Whether you need to get out for an adventure with your little ones, or you are looking for a weekly activity for your children to be involved in, check out Taos’s free and extra-curricular activities to motivate, inspire and challenge your family.

Art in Museums : A free program for pre-schoolers from 11am – 11:30am every Wednesday sponsored by the Museum Association of Taos. Join educators at one of the museums for a brief story followed by an age-appropriate art project. This program rotates to different sites every Wednesday year-round. Harwood Saturday Morning Kids' Program FREE

Every Saturday morning, between 10 -11.30am, the Harwood musesum invites children of all ages to participate in a varied program including hands-on art and craft projects, tours of the museum's collection and exhibitions, yoga classes and other special events. Please check their events calendar for the exact weekly schedule. This is a free program, for kids of all ages. Free parent participation required for children under age 6. Explore different modes of creativity with a weekly focus to encourage family collaboration and expression. This program promotes the use of recyclable, sustainable art materials, challenging families to expand their capacity to create. In the Harwood Museum of Art's Fern Hogue Mitchell Education Center.

Plus, Wearable Art for TEENs with Beth Haidle on Fridays 3.30 - 5.30pm. Join artist and all around fun girl, Beth Haidle for an explosively creative workshop for teens. Sketching, figure drawing, clothing design, re-threading free-box finds, and much much more. Designed for kids 12 & up 3:30 - 5:30 pm in the Harwood Museum's Fern Hogue Mitchell Education Center. Our home in Taos Ski Valley affords our athletes the chance to challenge themselves with narrow chutes, steep lines and ripping fast large peak descents. When not in the steeps, athletes will fine tune their basic skiing skills as well as being able to learn and practice aerial stunts in a safe, supervised environment.
